FFWD and Moriah makes some statement on soshuls about how she now sides with her mom (because she can’t adult and deal with conflict directly) and Micah seems to be of the same mind so Olivia is now persona non grata also partly due to Olivia and her boundaries with Kim and Barry and making Moriah feel as though she had to choose.
Again, I know a lot of these religious types rely heavily on MLMs as a source of income, so maybe not a big deal in their world, however, it’s a bigger deal for people who live in the world of credit to be opening accounts in the names of your children…
It seemed like Kim didn't just use the account when Ethan was a minor, but it continued until after he married Olivia. It sounds like Ethan got the statements and paid for whatever MLM crapola Kim was charging to his card. Then, because he was her 'downline' in the pyramid scheme, he would potentially profit from the sales. However, it doesn't sound like he actually ever received or sold the merchandise charged to him and that Kim's main goal was to increase her own earnings as his 'upline'.
Anyway, Olivia found out about the card, probably from his statements, and discovered that it required a PIN to use it. She asked Ethan about it and he told her he didn't even know the PIN and never used it himself, his mother was the only one who charged stuff on it. With his consent, she contacted the card company and changed the PIN so Ethan could access his own credit card. When Kim found out, she demanded the new PIN so she could continue to charge stuff and Olivia (and Ethan) declined to provide it to her and she went ballistic.
The other kids were apparently told by Kim that this was all above board and actually beneficial to Ethan, since he supposedly reaped the profits from his (non) participation in the MLM. Since Ethan apparently never actually participated in the MLM and was just fine with cutting Kim off from access to his credit card since he was an adult and all; I think he was perfectly justified in taking control of his credit. Unfortunately, neither Moriah or Micah are very smart and they are also not ones to question their mother; so they decided this was some sort of horrible slander against their mother and Moriah posted about it publicly on Facebook, accusing Olivia of being the villain here.
