Army Specialist Craig Chamberlain was found alive 11 days after he was reported missing -- and soon after his wife mysteriously died.

We are thankful that Specialist Chamberlain has been found,” Lt. Col. Zachary Brainard, commander of the 2nd Chemical Battalion at Fort Cavazos, noted in a news release. “We will continue to provide him with the care and assistance he needs.”

In a social media post, Chamberlain's mother said he was found in the Killeen area. His current condition is unknown.

Chamberlain was reported missing by his wife, Cameron, on May 15. Army officials told KWTX she was found dead.

Before her death, KEYE spoke to Cameron about the disappearance of her husband, who was reportedly declared AWOL by the Army in March.

The III Armored Corps said it is “deeply saddened” to hear of her passing and sent its “deepest condolences to the family and friends of Cameron Chamberlain.”

The cause of her death has not yet been released.
